What's New
v1.7.2
October 29, 2026 Latest 1 fix1 fix
- Buttons, links, warnings, form fields and secondary text are easier to read, in both light and dark.
v1.7.1
October 29, 2026 1 fix1 fix
- Saving the site to your iPhone's home screen now gives it a proper icon, and browser tabs show the right icon everywhere.
v1.7.0
October 12, 2026 1 new, 7 fixesNew
- What's New is easier to scan: each update now groups what's new, what's faster and what's fixed in its own color, with fixes tucked under each update until you open them.
7 fixes
- If the app fails while it's starting up, you now see an error screen with details you can copy instead of a blank page.
- Copying your selected times no longer brings up the error screen in rare cases; you'll see a short message instead.
- Release dates on the What's New page now show consistently, instead of in a format that depended on where the app was built.
- If Calzy can't keep you signed in to Google, it now offers to sign you in again instead of retrying forever.
- If you take a while on Google's sign-in screen, Calzy now tells you the sign-in took too long instead of a confusing mismatch error.
- "Navigate to this date" now opens the right day when you're viewing a different timezone.
- Switch account and Disconnect now stay available even when your calendars fail to load.
v1.6.1
September 30, 2026 4 fixes4 fixes
- Your list of Google calendars no longer reverts to an older copy when it's refreshed twice in quick succession.
- The timezone button in the header is now more compact, showing just the city — hover it to see the full timezone.
- The open-source licenses list in About now shows license text for the few packages that don't include their own.
- When your events take a moment to load, Calzy now says so instead of showing an unlabeled spinner.
v1.6.0
September 22, 2026 1 new, 10 fixesNew
- Searching for a time zone by city now works however you type the accents: "quebec" finds Québec, and "zurich" finds Zürich.
10 fixes
- A calendar event with no start time no longer shows up as a phantom event at the current time.
- All-day events now appear on the right day in the week the clocks spring forward.
- Month view now shows the last days of months that run into a sixth week, like January 31, 2027.
- Calzy now keeps you signed in for 30 days between visits, up from 7.
- Copied times now include the year when it isn't this one, and Calzy tells you if a copy didn't reach your clipboard.
- Switch account and Disconnect now tell you when they couldn't reach Calzy, instead of doing nothing or getting stuck on "Disconnecting…".
- When Google has a temporary hiccup, Calzy now just offers to try again, and Sign in again appears only when your Google permission actually needs renewing.
- Today now takes you to today in the timezone you're viewing, so the highlighted day is right even when it's already tomorrow there.
- Calzy now works fully in browsers that block site storage; before, the timezone suggestion never appeared and picking times could fail.
- A day you pick in month view now shows up on the calendar and copies as that day, instead of vanishing or reading as a backwards date range.
v1.5.0
September 17, 2026 4 new, 20 fixesNew
- Sharing a link to this app now shows its name, description and a preview instead of a bare URL.
- Signing out is now two choices: Switch account takes you straight to Google's account chooser, and Disconnect withdraws Calzy's access to your calendar for good.
- Moving between weeks is instant now — Calzy reuses the events it already fetched instead of asking Google again — and a new Refresh button in the header re-reads your calendars whenever you want.
- Copied times now name the day of the week — and each timezone gets its own, so a late-night time reads as the next day where it already is.
20 fixes
- If you sign in without granting calendar access, Calzy now tells you instead of showing a column of calendars that failed to load, and offers to sign you in again.
- Choosing a timezone other than your computer's no longer shifts your events away from the hours listed beside them, and the second column of hours now shows the real difference between the two zones.
- The What's New page now shows your release notes the moment it opens, instead of flashing "Loading…" first.
- Calzy stops asking to switch timezone when a browser simply spells your timezone differently from the one you saved it in.
- Calendars with a lot of events — and accounts with a lot of calendars — now show all of them, instead of quietly stopping at Google's first page of results.
- A sign-in that can't finish now shows a proper Calzy page explaining what happened, with a way back to your calendar, instead of the browser's bare error text.
- Cmd/Ctrl+C now copies the text you have highlighted on the page; it copies your selected times only when nothing is highlighted.
- Canceling the Google sign-in now brings you back with a note that nothing changed, instead of dropping you into the app with no explanation.
- When Google's calendar library can't be reached, Calzy now says so instead of sitting on "Loading calendars..." forever — and Try again really does try again.
- A tab left open for more than an hour keeps loading your calendars, instead of sending you back to Google to sign in again.
- The privacy, terms, about, welcome and What's New pages now arrive fully written, so they show up in search results and link previews and appear instantly instead of after the app loads.
- Moving between months from the 31st now lands on the last day of the next month, instead of skipping that month entirely.
- When a calendar can't be loaded, the details now show Google's actual reason instead of a generic message.
- Calzy now opens normally in private browsing windows and anywhere else the browser blocks site storage, instead of showing a blank page.
- Your events now show up right away when you open Calzy, instead of waiting for you to click to another week first.
- The highlight showing which option you've picked — in every menu, and on today's date in a calendar — is now dark enough to read comfortably, in both light and dark.
- A second timezone now lasts only as long as your visit, so copied times no longer carry a zone you set days ago — and clearing one drops it from the calendar right away.
- Screen readers now announce the calendar's back and forward buttons instead of skipping over them.
- The times you've selected now survive a page reload instead of disappearing.
- When you're viewing a second timezone, the header now shows it next to the first — so it matches the extra column on the calendar instead of leaving you wondering where that column came from.
v1.4.2
August 8, 2026 1 new, 1 fixNew
- What's New now tells you when there's something you haven't read, in every app — and says so if it can't load, instead of claiming nothing changed.
1 fix
- When Calzy can't load something from Google, it now tells you what failed and lets you try again, instead of sitting on "Loading calendars..." forever.
